Community

The communities of Minster, New Bremen and New Knoxville were founded in the early 1830’s by hearty German immigrants looking for a better way of life. With the completion of the Miami and Erie Canal, the western Ohio area grew and prospered. Family farms and businesses were established that continue to operate more than 100 years later.

The solid German character of our forefathers is reflected in the architecture of our towns as well as the community spirit, craftsmanship and work ethic of our residents. Our schools are rated “excellent” by the Ohio Department of Education, with attendance and graduation rates above 98%.

“The Golden Triangle of Auglaize County” is a wonderful mix of old-world ideals and modern world-class business and industry.

It’s a great place to live, work and play!
