Annual Chamber Events

State of the Villages Breakfast
In January the Chamber hosts a breakfast buffet where the Mayors of Minster, New Bremen, and New Knoxville are invited to give their State of the Village comments and take questions from the audience.

Auglaize County Job Fair
In April the Chambers of Commerce in Auglaize County sponsor a countywide Job Fair with dozens of local employers. The morning session is designated for area high school students and the afternoon for the general public.

Staff Appreciation Day Luncheon
On the fourth Wednesday in April the Chamber hosts a gala Administrative Staff Appreciation Day Luncheon featuring a delicious buffet lunch with special exhibits by local florists, gift shops, and other vendors. Plus there are always great door prizes and the Chamber's famous "goody bags".

Golden Triangle Open Golf Outing
Every June dozens of teams converge on Arrowhead Park Golf Club in Minster for the Chamber's Golden Triangle Open. It's always a great day of golf with special events, door prizes, and a superb dinner at the clubhouse following the match.

Annual Dinner Meeting
Our Annual Dinner Meeting is held each October. It's a time of celebrating the accomplishments and work of the Chamber during the past year, as well as looking to the year ahead to plan and set goals. Awards and recognition are given at this time, and the evening features a guest speaker and special entertainment. All Chamber members and the general public are invited to this special event.

German Family Christmas Celebrations
Minster, New Bremen, and New Knoxville were founded by German immigrants in the 1830s. Every November we celebrate that heritage and welcome the holiday season with our German Family Christmas Holiday Open House Weekend. Our stores are filled with holiday gift and decorating ideas, special prices, free holiday snacks, great door prizes, and the very best customer service. The first weekend in December is Pickle Days, another tribute to our German ancestors. The pickle ornament -- a symbol of good luck -- was the last to be hidden on the Christmas tree. The first child to find it on Christmas morning received an extra little gift left by Pelsnickle. During our Pickle Days our stores hide pickle ornaments and offer special "rewards" to the shoppers who find them.

Holiday Business After Hours
Every December the Chamber hosts a special holiday event the week before Christmas. It's an afternoon of good food, great fellowship, and a few holiday surprises. It's the perfect chance to wish our Chamber colleagues a very Merry Christmas!
